Biometrics is the method of identifying someone using their biological data. Fingerprints, iris patterns, facial shapes and vein patterns are all unique to an individual and using this data can provide an infallible method of identification.

Biometrics is an evolving market, which has been grown recently due to security concerns.

A number of suppliers in the market offer software and hardware to support biometric applications, such as facial recognition and fingerprint identification. These products can be used to verify more standard methods of identification within a business application, offering a complete and secure solution.
