These 'Proof of Delivery' applications allow signature capture by signing on the screen or through image capture (using an integrated camera in the rugged mobile computer).
Many 'Proof of Delivery' applications also include 1D and 2D barcode scanning (consignment note data), GPS positioning information, time and date of delivery and transmission of data over wide area network using GPRS.
