A WWAN (GPRS/GSM and UMTS/3G) communication provides access to information anytime and anywhere where there is cellular (data) coverage. This allows a mobile user to send and retrieve emails, browse the internet and access other corporate information whilst away from the workplace. Combined with a Global Positioning System (GPS) , the movements of workers or vehicles can also be tracked.
