Case studies

Spirit has written a series of case studies on the utilities and waste management market, please find out more below:

Case studies on logistics and warehousingAMCS (Advanced Manufacturing Control Systems Limited), has been developing a complete waste management system based around the Gotive H41.

Organisations with large vehicle fleets and field workers often rely on mobile computing solutions to enable them to capture data quickly and effectively. One such company is Biffa Waste Services, who have been using automated data collection for some time. When they recently decided to upgrade their existing kit, they first went through a very thorough evaluation process. Ultimately, they selected the M3 Sky, largely due to it's versatility, ease of use, ruggedness and functionality.

CSols is a leader in the integration and automation of laboratory systems and selected the Gotive H42 to port some of its software applications to a mobile platform.

Nalco's Institutional business, which has a client base that includes government, education, healthcare, hospitality, retail and commercial buildings, required its Field Service Engineers to carry out analyses of customer assets. It chose the Motorola MC35 - find out why.

E.ON's Energy Services Division have based their meter reading around Dolphin® 9500 mobile computers.

May Gurney - For maximum efficiency, organisations that have a lot of workers in the field need to be able to send information to them and receive their feedback in real time. The solution chosen by services company May Gurney was the Motorola MC75.

Origin ported it's suite of remote applications including iJob2 (integrated job management) to the rugged M3 PDA.

You can also find out why PH Jones's Social Housing Maintenance department chose the MC35 when it embarked upon a new project to automate the collection of data by its gas service and repair engineers.

United Utilities has been replacing its hand held devices with Dolphin® 7900 mobile computers and has also started using Dolphin® 9500s for warehousing applications.
